During a war in March 2016 we saw this difficult TH8 war base:
There were three air bombs immediately south of the town hall, which meant that balloons that got to either of the lower air defenses were bombed to bits before dealing any damage. Triple level-six air defenses are often tough for mass dragons, and this layout was too much for them.
The solution, thanks to the recent game upgrade that boosted valkyrie attack strength and speed, is GoVaLo or GoVaHo.
Here are two videos about this strategy that uses a "kill squad" similar to that of GoWiPe hybrid attack (a single golem, wizards to make a funnel, the Barbarian King, and a few valkyrie) to get the front side of the base and the core, and carefully placed balloons or hog riders to get the defenses at the back side of the war base.
